Please note:

To obtain speeds over 100Mbps on a wired connection, customers will require a gigabit network adapter on their device. Most devices sold in the last few years will have a gigabit network adapter but some older devices will only have adapters that support maximum speeds of 100Mbps. To find out if your device has a gigabit network adapter you can check the manufacturer’s manual or website.

Customers using wireless devices that do not support wireless 802.11ac may have issues obtaining speeds of 125Mbps. Most wireless devices sold today do support this protocol, but older devices that only support wireless 802.11g or 802.11n may have trouble obtaining speeds over 100Mbps.

Wireless connectivity can also be impacted by variety things. Here are some of the most common offenders:

  • barriers (walls, floors, ceilings, windows)

  • distance from router

  • household devices (microwaves, baby monitors, cordless phones)

  • other nearby wireless networks

All of these limitations are independent of technology and will affect both coax and fibre customers.

My wife and I have lived in five different homes in Rupert over the years, and every single installation was handled in a very efficient and expedient fashion and it was always done by someone that we knew as a fellow Rupertite.
