“The first people I met at CityWest took the time to answer all my questions and seemed not only to be polite but also seemed to know their product. Well that was different. I cannot begin to say how glad I am I decided to subscribe to CityWest and do not hesitate to tell everyone I come in contact with about my experience with your company.”

CityWest Notifies Prince Rupert Customers of Fibre Relocation
Posted: May 03, 2017
PRINCE RUPERT – Due to highway improvements being undertaken at Rainbow Summit, CityWest will be required to relocate our underground fibre line in the early-morning hours of May 23.
The work will involve moving underground fibre – which transports phone, Internet, and TV services to Prince Rupert – to another location along the highway, away from the new passing lanes.
“We have done a significant amount of preparation work to prevent any sort of outage,” said Chris Marett, CEO of CityWest. He also noted that technicians will be on-site getting ready for the switchover from May 18-25.
“The work is highly technical in nature, and our professional team will work hard to ensure the risk of outage is minimal.”
If an outage does occur, CityWest recommends that customers power-cycle any devices – such as modems and set-top boxes – once services are restored.
The total cost to CityWest to perform the switchover is approximately $300,000.
