“We would like to thank City West for the outstanding service by providing an additional channel to the network in such short notice. When they realized the channel that was carrying the Canucks game on Tuesday was missing, they added it before game time. Thank you for the outstanding commitment to customer service.”

CityWest unveils cover of 2018 Prince Rupert phone book
Posted: September 12, 2017
PRINCE RUPERT – Once again, CityWest asked the public for their input for the cover image of the Prince Rupert phone book, and by a small margin, Guy Carignan’s “Floatplane” came out on top.
“Once again, the response for the photo contest was tremendous, both with the number of quality submissions, and the number of people voting for the winner,” said Chris Armstrong, Director of Marketing at CityWest..
Carignan, a resident of Prince Rupert, has focused on photography as a hobby for the past two years. The picture shows an idle floatplane in the foreground, with brushstroke clouds in the sky above.
“I was asked to get a picture for a retirement gift for one of the pilots at the base,” said Carignan. “So I went down to the seaplane base one nice evening and took a whole bunch of pictures. I got the shot I wanted within five minutes.”
While the saturation of the original photo was changed to make the sky and green mountains a bit more intense, the clouds remained untouched in the post-production process. “I think the photo really represents the west coast as well as Prince Rupert – floatplanes are a huge part of our community,” said Carignan.
CityWest received 126 submissions for the photo contest this year, and “Floatplane” received 30 per cent of the votes. The phone books will be distributed in Prince Rupert towards the end of November.
