CityWest Warns Public About Phone Scams

We have been alerted by our customers about fraudulent calls coming from scammers posing as CityWest representatives.

The fraudulent calls have been to customers promoting a “free offer” or "certificates for air fare" quickly followed by asking for the customer’s personal information including full name, date of birth, and social insurance number. These are scams mean to collect the personal information of CityWest customers.

CityWest representatives will never ask for the a customer’s social insurance number when calling them directly. In some cases a CityWest representatives may ask a customer for their date of birth, such as adding a service or contract to the account. However, our representatives will only ask for this information after the customer requests a change to their services.

Additionally any online ads asking users to participate in an "anonymous survey" are not legitimate or affiliated with CityWest.
