Most CityWest storefronts across the North will officially be re-opening to customers on Monday, July 13.
The locations in Prince Rupert, Terrace, and Smithers will be re-opening, but Kitimat will remain closed for the time being. The storefronts had been closed to the public since March 18, due to concerns around the COVID-19 pandemic.
“At the time, we thought it was best to close our storefronts to keep our employees and our customers safe,” said Tina Lussier, Interim CEO of CityWest. “But now that the Province of B.C. has loosened some of the pandemic restrictions, we’re happy to once again open our doors to customers.”
During the last four months, a skeleton crew of staff worked in each office, and customers were able to access customer support through the call centre, or through email and online chat.
When the storefronts re-open, customers will notice some changes. There will be social-distancing decals on the floors, similar to what is seen in grocery stores. There will also be glass barriers at the front counter, as well as hygiene stations at the front door.
“Our staff is definitely looking forward to once again see our customers in person and provide them with amazing experiences!” said Lussier.
