TEXADA ISLAND - CityWest is proud to announce the acquisition of the Gillies Bay Community TV Association and the Texada Community Television Association. Both businesses operate on Texada Island, providing cable TV services to residents and businesses in their respective communities.

This acquisition comes after months of collaboration to find a new solution for TV and Internet services in the communities. CityWest will bring these services to GBCTVA and TCTVA customers through their new Stream TV platform, providing an improved TV experience for viewers.

“Texada Community Television Association is pleased, after 70 years of service to be able to partner with CityWest to bring our Van Anda television service into the twenty-first century.” – Texada Community Television Association Board of Directors

CityWest will take over the existing infrastructure that both companies have managed, providing cable TV services and Internet to homes on Texada Island. Social responsibility is important to us, and we’re excited to bring an improved experience to these communities for decades to come.” – Stefan Woloszyn, CEO of CityWest.
