The only exception is when you contact us directly — for example, by calling or emailing our Customer Service or Technical Support teams. In those cases, we may record or keep calls or emails for quality assurance and training purposes.

CityWest collects personal information for the purpose of operating our business, and particularly for contacting customers, past, present and future, and managing your accounts and services. We collect personal information to better serve you and communicate with you, and to overall support a positive experience with CityWest.

When you contact CityWest or sign up for or use a CityWest product or service, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as outlined in this Privacy Statement. As a federally regulated organization, CityWest collects, uses, or discloses personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

For example, when you send us an email, we collect your email address and your message so that we may reply to you. We recommend that sensitive personal information not be sent unencrypted over the Internet or by e-mail.

Website Analytics and Cookies

When you visit our website, the web server collects a small amount of non-identifiable technical information to help us understand how the site is used and to improve our services. For example, our website’s advanced search function remembers your search criteria.

We will not sell your personal information to any organization or person, unless we sell or transfer any part of our business.

CityWest keeps your personal information only for as long as we need it, for the purpose for which it was collected. The length of time we retain your information will vary depending upon the information and why it was collected. In some cases, we are required by law to keep certain information for a specific period of time. Once we no longer need your personal information, we securely destroy or anonymize it.
