Crews were able to get on the water for the first phase of repairs. More time is required to complete repairs.

We are following weather patterns for another safe window to resume repairs.

March 17, 2025  The marine team is on the water today. Their plan is to assess the damage to the cable and work on a plan for repair.
March 10th, 2025 

We are closely monitoring the weather forecast and waiting on a safe window.

The location of the fibre break is in the middle of the Hecate Strait, a large distance from Tlell. The location of the break, along with the unsafe storm conditions within the Hecate Strait, have made repairs unsafe.

We are hopeful for a safe weather window soon.

February 26th, 2025 We have activated plans for a repair and restoral of services. More updates will be provided in the near future.
